Sabeto Safari Tour: frequently asked questions

What is the Sabeto Safari Tour?

The Sabeto Safari Tour is an 8-hour 4WD day tour in the Sabeto Valley near Nadi, Fiji. It combines five experiences in one day: a welcome at the chiefly village of Koroiaca, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant orchid gardens, Aviva Ranch, the Rise Beyond the Reef artisan initiative, and a soak in the Sabeto hot spring mud pools.

How much does the Sabeto Safari Tour cost?

Prices start from FJ$270.00 per adult. Children aged 0–2 travel free and children aged 3–11 pay a child rate.

How long is the Sabeto Safari Tour and where does it start?

The full-day tour runs about 8 hours and operates in the Sabeto Valley, roughly 20 minutes from Nadi International Airport and the Denarau and Wailoaloa hotel areas. A shorter half-day option is also offered.

What should I bring on the Sabeto Safari?

Bring a water bottle, sunglasses or a hat, comfortable walking shoes, swimwear and a beach towel for the mud pools, sunscreen, a camera, and extra cash for artisan purchases.

Is the Sabeto Safari Tour available on Sundays?

The safari operates on Sundays, but the village component is not included — Koroiaca village visits do not run on Sundays out of respect for the community's day of worship.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure, or no-shows, incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancel earlier than 24 hours to avoid charges.

Are the Sabeto mud pools safe and worth it?

Yes. The Sabeto hot spring mud pools are shallow, geothermally warm and supervised, and are one of the most popular stops in western Viti Levu. Visitors coat themselves in mineral mud, let it dry, then rinse in the hot pools — remove jewellery and avoid wearing light-coloured swimwear.
